On Friday 29th August 2014 at 05:00 hrs Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire on the Beaumont Industrial Estate. Two appliances from Banbury attended. On arrival they were confronted with heavy smoke emerging from open roller shutter door of a warehouse.

Everyone had been evacuated by quick thinking employees who had been working in the vicinity of the machine when it caught fire.

The factory is fitted with a sprinkler system which had activated and suppressed the fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters using a high pressure hose reel jet and wearing breathing apparatus to protect themselves from the smoke. The warehouse was fully smoke-logged and two high pressure fans were used to help push the smoke out of the building. It was reported that his company would be back to full operation fairly soon.
