Fire in Channel Tunnel: 17 January 3025

A report published by the Rail Accident Investigation Branch makes it clear that press reports regarding the actuation of the tunnel’s AFSS were inaccurate. Three Southampton tower blocks to get sprinkler systems

Southampton City Council will make a £1m investement in putting automatic fire sprinkler systems in three tower blocks.The move will see the system installed in each individual flat, and some communal areas such as bin stores at Albion Towers, Sturminster House and Shirley Towers.
